Experimental Blazor components bring agent workflows into typed UI

Microsoft has released experimental Blazor AI components for streamed responses, tool calls, approvals, frontend actions and shared application state. The preview works with Microsoft.Extensions.AI, remote AG-UI agents, ASP.NET Core, Microsoft Agent Framework and Aspire, and currently requires .NET 11 RC1.

What changed

.NET developers now have framework-level UI primitives for agent workflows instead of building every chat stream and approval interaction manually.

Why it matters

Consequential agent actions need visible state, typed controls and explicit approval—not an opaque conversational transcript.

Practical takeaway

Represent every tool request as a typed content block showing operation, affected resource, parameters, approval state and final result.

Analysis

The package is experimental and prerelease; use it for prototypes while isolating its APIs behind application-owned components.
